Türkiye has 16,000+ certified accommodation facilities, of which roughly 5,500 are 50+ room hotels. The hotel-laundry decision typically reduces to two paths: build your own (high capex, full control) or outsource (lower opex on paper but service variability during weddings, group check-ins). Below 100 rooms outsource usually wins; 100-300 rooms is a threshold zone requiring detailed cost modeling; above 300 rooms an in-house plant almost always pays off. Critical operational metrics: linen kg per room per day (resort 8-12, 5-star urban 4-6, 4-star business 3-4, boutique 2-3); wash cycle (40-55 min standard); calender ironer speed (30-50 m/min). Most-overlooked detail: continuous batch washer (washing tunnel) capex of ₺8-12M — uneconomical below 200 rooms, classic 25-50 kg industrial washers serve better.
